Thats a pretty slim VB isnt it? I do not think much u beat is gonna call. After the flop and turn actions. I am not even that sure you are ahead. Donks love to slowplay flushes.

so, him miniraising the flop and not leading turn is not suspicious to you?

I'm looking for pot control here, especially after the checkminraise on the flop. On the turn that's balanced by the need to shut out a bare [Kd], so the turn bet is OK i guess, although how many people checkminraise with a 1-card FD? The river bet is wayyyy too thin, I just check behind.

BAH! ,, he had [Kd] and I took it ... I thought he was trying to buy a free card on the turn with his miniraise on flop, and that's why I bet out again.. this time I was right.. don't really understand what he wanted to do by putting me in for last $15 ... probably thought i might fold or something...

Also, I thought about what Semillon wrote in one hand I posted. He said that he usually just calls the flop MR and then decides on turn based on villains lead or lack of.. That's what I did I guess and when he checked again I was 80% certain he wanted a free card..

Another line to take here is to check the flop.

I'll often check a monotone flop when I don't have a suite and wait for a non-flush turn before really betting.

That works as both pot control and value betting on the turn.

You don't really want to start escalating the pot on the flop because you can't play a big pot on that flop.
