2,5 Pot Limit Hold 'em. Your Play?

Postby Johnny Hughes » Wed Sep 12, 2007 5:13 pm

I was in the 5 blind with A,2 offsuit. There were four callers. 25 in the pot.
The flop was J, 4,3 rainbow. I bet 20 and got two callers.
Fourth street was a 5, making me a 5 high straight.
I bet 50 into a 85 dollar pot.
The next man raised it 150 all in.
The next man called. He and I each had about 700 behind.
Pot was 535 and it was 150 to me. What would you do??

Johnny,

Is this live I assume?

I'm guessing so. I probably just flat call here but I'd really like to push if I had some read to the middle caller's ability.

I folded, correctly based on a tell and the situation.

As the rock got his 200 ready to bet, the Wildman was getting ready an automatic call without thinking even though the rock bets only huge hands. The Wildman raises half the pots therefore I did not put him on any pair that would make trips. He did not look at the Rock but at my chips and then me. I just couldn't come up with any hand range except 6,2 or 6,7.

The rock was shell shocked after getting a full beat after his opponent hit on the river. He had two Aces here and had not come alive until fourth.

There were three road gamblers from separate towns sitting behind me. They said I made a great play. I still got broke later.
