PPs on GC GC players pls check stats on PT

Postby Jeffm351 » Thu Mar 17, 2005 10:09 pm

I uploaded 5570 total Hand histories from GC $50 games, and my Pocket pair stats show 1 PP for every 20.62 hands well below the 1 pp/per 17 hands it should average.

I show only 20 AAs and 15 KKs in those 5570 hands.... Average should be 25.2

There are 3 possible explanations, Maybe PT is not scoring PPs properly OR GCs hand distribution is flawed, OR Im having a terrible run of cards... After 5570 hands I dont think I could be off by 20% of the expected norm.

If anyone can check there stats and see if they see the same trend I would appreciate it.

I haven't played at GC yet - but I'd say give it another 20k hands before you start worrying about it. 20% seems big - realize that you are only 50 hands away from the "normal" - after 5570 hands - that's a 1% deviation.

5500 hands is nowhere near enough to break down those stats like that and ecpect for your stats to mean anything.

Im not a stat expert and I dont know enough about standard deviation to know how many hands you need, but I know 5500 is way short.

I just checked my own pokertracker and my total number of pairs was one quarter of one percent lower than it should be. So in other words, it was almost exactly where it should be.

My AA and KK were both a little low, but my QQ was about 50% hgher than it should be.

There is nothing wrong with the random number gererator at Prima or anywhere else for that matter. If anyone ever finds a flawed one, it will be HUGE news and I doubt any of us will be the ones to find it.
