Preflop agression against weak players.

Postby Rhound50 » Tue May 03, 2005 6:27 pm

As most of you know I have been playing the $50 party tables for the last couple of weeks, most of these game are super soft. I have been going through my PT numbers and I noticed an interesting result, my preflop agression is way down to 3%. This got me to thinking, on these party tables is there really a need to raise preflop with anything other than big pairs??? I realized that the only hands I'm raising with are JJ and above. There are so many fish that I am getting paid off when I hit my monster flops, so why put more money than I have to in before the flop. Along the same lines I have been calling a lot of raises preflop, even more so with small pp and suited connectors. These so far have been my bread and butter, since most of these players cant get away from a hand once they have raised. So far it has been sucessfull, I'm up a little over 10BB/100. Any thoughts????

I suggest reading my article on pre flop raise %'s where most of my data comes straight from the Party $50 NL level. You fall in the slightly loose category.

You will be amazed at where you fall on the trend line. Raise that % slightly and you'll more than likely increase your winning rate....
