If you were sure you could get him to commit his stack even if the obvious scare card hits on the river your call on the turn is ok. There are 2 dangers for you. First he is showing alot of strength with the check raise, If he slow played a flopped set he has more outs to make his FH than you have to make your flush. Second, You could make your hand and not get paid off because the flush is obvious although Semi Bluffing the way you did on the flop and turn may help you here. If he really played KJo that way he will be very hard to read but that won't matter because he won't be around very long anyway.

I fold to the Check Raise

By my rough math you are still getting 3:1 to call the extra $4.50 so I am making the call be playing the river a little cautiously if the board pairs. I think though had the he been playing a set he was slack not raising on the flop. After that I would fold to a larger raise on the turn but I still see you having reasonable odds to make the call since if you hit I reckon you will get paid off something on the river. It would be very strange for him to raise the turn, chk the river then fold to a reasonable value bet.

yeah, given that check-raise, and the amount he raised you, I would have been out at that point. He played his straight on the river way too aggressively though, I guess placing you for a set, and ignoring all the diamonds out. a nice win, but I think it would sting you more ofen than not.
