It can never be that bad of a play, even if he calls every time. As long as you think he can fold sometimes it's fine. In my experience he probably will fold enough to make this OK.
Villain: Why?
Villain: How?
Me: I had a feeling
Villian: Sit in you cretin
Seems fine to me unless he's the type of player who will still call your huge bets with 2nd pair or any draw (like some players on Cake for example). In this case, a lot of your EV which came from FE has gone down the drain and I think it becomes an easy check/call and value town the river if you hit.
It would be a lot better in general if you had 1 overcard here that way you could have pair outs too.
yeah well i think you're wrong. lots of players, even bad ones, are capable of playing a range of hands in the same or a similar way.
you don't think my range is relatively realistic? i think if anything it's a bit tight. i didn't include any random hand that picked up a draw, and only 1/3 of the combos of 98 and KT, and only one combo of a pure bluff.
