I am affraid I have no reads and don't know how he got his stack ( sitting outside in the sun).
I just don't know what to make of that min bet call huge raise line. I am also pretty new to cake

The MR then the call looks like a block attempt on the FD. He then CR the turn after the FD hits so it really looks like a flush. You have outs plus he "could" have many other hands so its a call.
2008 Goals:

1. Make $40K by year end.
2. Play at least 100hrs a month.
3. Read 5-10 new Poker Books w/ notes.
4. Become regular at $2/$4 FR
5. Try some $5/$10 FR
6. Work on Game non-stop.

Checking the turn is very results oriented.

Post the same hand and the river coming [3h] or [Tc] and there's no way they're telling you to check the turn.
