AA on a tough board

Postby T-Rod » Mon Jul 11, 2005 10:12 pm

Not much read on villan. He did call one of my pot sized bets on the turn with a draw. he missed and we both checked the river.

What would you do? Results to come soon.

Party Poker (6 max, 5 handed)

Preflop: Hero is MP with [Ac], [Ah].
3 folds.

Lots of fold to me in CO (villan is button). I bet X3BB, he calls.

Flop: [4c], [Kh], [Kc] (2 players)

Pot is7. I BTP (of course). I'm worried about being called by a K but figure I'm probalby still ahead. Ooops. He not only calls but min raises me to 14. hmm. I call. He did bet like this on a draw before but I'm worried.

Turn: [5c] (2 players)
Hero checks. Villain bets 15. Hero calls. Hmmm. That's a weak bet but I'm behind both kings and clubs. I should fold. But I don't.

River: [Td] (2 players)
Hero checks, Villain goes allin for 57. Hero folds.

The only other course of action I can think of...is reraising his flop bet. If he calls..then you are done with the hand..barring an ace on the turn.

I might have just went ahead and folded the turn the way you played it.

He flipped over J,10. A stone cold bluff the whole way.

Just write it down on your notes and get him next time :)

Ther'es nothing wrong with folding the best hand every once in a while.
