Vegas NL ring

Postby Scott Francis » Fri Apr 08, 2005 11:53 am

I'm leaving at 4EST for the Bellagio, my first trip to Vegas. Any recommendations where to play NL ring games. I plan on sitting in the 10/20 NL at Bellagio just for the fun of it but don't expect it to be very +EV. Any other games you think are a good choice let me know. Mainly looking for 400 buyin or higher.

Thanks, Scott

Talk to The Unknown Player, send him a PM. He normally plays the 300 buyin 2/5 NL at the Aladdin and I watched it. Its a pretty good game to get into. I don't think he's played there much recently because of his other responsibilities so that means they are all yours to clean out. Don't know of higher buy in games but TUP would.

Thanks Bri, I just sent TUP a PM. If anyone else has any ideas in case TUP doesn't get the message before 4pm Est please let me know. I'm open for suggestions.

Anyone know about the game at the Mirage? Someone mentioned it to me but I don't know what the limits are (blinds/buyin).

Thanks, Scott

I was there a few weeks ago and the Mirage game was 2/5 blinds (Maybe 3/5) with a 200-500 buy in. The game looked good.
If everybody was able to make a living off of their hobbies the world would be a much better place.

2/5 At the Monte Carlo is about as weak a game as there is. Perfect mix of way too tight- passive older players and loose passive players.

I played at the Mandalay three weeks ago and it was very easy to beat. They had a $200 Min/Max game w/ $2-$4 blinds and a $500 min/max game. Only downside is that is a ways from the Bellagio and the wait list took a long time.

I was at the Monte Carlo a couple weeks ago and they had a $1/$2 blind NL game. The buy-in had to be between $100 and $200. I only played for about 3 hours and lost about $200, but the game seemed pretty good.

Some guy I pregged as a calling station got a good amount of money from me when he limped in in LP after a couple limpers and I had AQs on the BB. I raised enough that everone folded but him. I flopped an A. I bet the pot on the flop and he called. I bet the pot the turn and he called. Normally I would have been worried, but I had seen him call down big pots with TP no kicker and MP, so I figured I had to keep betting with this guy. Turns out he had AK. At least he never raised me....
