River: ($504) A:heart: [color:#0000FF](3 players)

Final Pot: $504

When he called my raise from the BB (out of position) and then check called the flop, i suspected a monster. Then after I bet the pot again on the turn, his all-in almost convinced me that I was beat with a set or maybe a flopped straight. Any feedback? Or am I just really really paranoid..

Sorry guys, first hand history post ever. Anyway, the villain ended up having 5 7 of diamonds. I thought that I might be beat though...only the huge pot convinced me to call. Any thoughts on this hand?

Hi longwy. Welcome to the forum.

I think you played the hand well (well as in how I would have played it). I wouldnt be afraid of a better hand. The only hands he could have, that beat you are TT and the unlikely KJ and QQ (and the even more unlikely AA and 77).

There are alot of loose players in the 2/4 game at UB and top two in a raised pot is a hand I usually dont mind getting my money in with.

When I read the hand I put him on something like [Jd] or AK.
You'll get better responses if you dont post the results right after you posted the hand.

Too many draws/second best hands he could call that bet on the flop with to even consider checking behind.

One of the things that I have noticed about a lot of the best players that post here specificly Ice, Kenny, and MG is that when they make a big hand they are always aware of what hand beats them and dont get to wrapped up in the stregnth of their hands. A lot of players make a monster hand and think I have a monster I must have the best hand. One of the worst offenses in for some reason when people get AA they feel unbeatable. What is the point to all this rambling? No you are almost never stupid for questioning if your big hand has run into an even better hand.
