Would you call this all in?

Postby stealthtt385 » Wed Jul 06, 2005 4:41 pm

First of all this player was a LAG from what I saw. I only had 52 hands on him, but his stats were as follows: vp$ip 44.9, pfr 22.45, pfa 2.87. I had also seen him call an all in with AQs unimproved on the flop and hit an ace for the win. He would pot bet the flop every hand that he was in regardless of what was on board, and i had raised him twice with top pair and gotten him to fold. On this next hand, which was a couple minutes after I had bet him out of the two pots, I thought I would take some more of his stack. I didnt raise him preflop because I wanted him to bet the flop at me so I could get an extra couple of dollars off of him.

What would you do preflop against this maniac? What would you do on the flop against this maniac?

I would like to see more than 50 hands from him before calling an all in like this. I mightve just flat called his flop bet.

I did end up making the call, because there were only a few that could beat me. It was not likely that he had the eight or pocket fives so I put him on 99, TT, JJ, KK, or AA, and based on his aggressive play and the pot size I felt like I had to make the call.

He flipped over JJ and I won a $99 pot.

thanks for the replies,
