My last 3 sets (where he didnt fold to a raise)

Postby iceman5 » Tue Feb 19, 2008 10:43 am

Here are the last 3 hand where I flopped a set and the guy didnt fold to a flop raise

#1) He raises $7. I call with 44.

Pot $17. Flop K43. He bets $17. I call
Pot $51. Turn 5. He bets $51. I shove all in for a total of $225 or so. He calls with AK.

River 2

#2) He raises $8. I call in the SB with 88.
Pot $18. Flop K84. I check / call his $16
Pot $50. Turn Q. I check...he bets $50. I CRAI. He calls with KQ

River Q

#3) He raises $11 after 2 limpers. I call in the BB with QQ.

Pot $27. Flop [Qs][Jh][4s]. I check. He bets $15. I check raise to $50. He calls.
Pot $127. Turn [Kd]. I check. I really think he has AA / KK and might fold AA to an all in. Probably shouldve shoved anyway...not that it mattered. He bets $15. I CRAI. He calls with [As][Ks]

River is a [s].

Amazing. This is why I keep track of my results compared to the equity I had in the pot at the time of an all in. Its the only thing that keeps me sane.

I lost $340 this morning but I lost $398 in lost equity (mostly in hand #3). I have to look at it as I won $58 for the session to keep myself from jumping out the window. If the hand was stopped at the time of the all in...taking all luck out of it...and I was awarded my share of the pot...Im +$58.

these all look pretty stadard...the only way you can really play them differently is to get more $ in quicker...

ie.

1) raise the flop
2) raise the flop
3) std. uglyness

pokerEV or it didn't happen.
Be glad your opponents refuse to fold; if they didn't, you just might go broke.
