Just a heads up...If it is not too late,
The pool at the IP is pretty bad. It consists of a Cement Slab on about the 3rd floor with a bunch of plastic lounge chairs. I could see it from our room when my wife and I stayed at the Flamingo.
The Tropicanna has a nice pool, and it is right next to the MGM. Rooms are kind of shaggy and dated, but your GF will appreciate the pool area. I would guess that prices would be within a hundred bucks of each other. Hookers galore after midnight in the walkway back to the rooms if you are into that.
I stayed at the Trop a couple of months ago for a Union Conference and played poker at the MGM every night. MGM comps a buck an hour for table play, get a players card before you sit down.
I can give you a few more ideas if you are not already locked into your room at the IP...
