Iceman, you must have had a difficult time comparing QB's before they came up with the rating formula. Talk about being a slave to a stat. So W/L record is completely irrelevent? Even Atlanta's W/L record without Vick since he became the starter means nothing?

Theres no doubt that he makes a difference, but its because of his running threat. Why not have that threat at RB or WR, and get a real QB in there at the same time?

Believe me, Im not hating on Vick. I like him. I like to watch him. Ive had him on my fantasy team a couple times. But as a diehard Steeler fan, Ive seen all this before with Kordell. Dont you see a difference in the Steelers now with a real QB?

The Steelers were winning with Kordell, but it was because they had a top running game and top defense (same as Atl). Kordell made some great runs and he was fun to watch, but he never came thru under pressure when he had to throw late in a game and Vick will never be able to do that either.

Yeah, and I have sympathized with Steeler fans who have been so close for so long. I really think Vick is several notches above Stewart though. So where do you guys get these career stats anyway? I'm not used to looking this stuff up.

I admire Pittsburgh for sticking by Cowher also, he would have been run out of a lot of towns by now.

Cowher is a great coach whose only mistake was too stick with Stewart for so long. They drafted a QB in the 1st round for the 1st time in a LONG time and they are back to greatness. Thats no coincidence.

Good running game, smothering defense and a QB who doesnt make mistakes equals a great football team. If you have change that to a great QB and you have a dominant team.

I think Vick is better than Stewart also, but I just think hes good enough to get them over the hump to the point of dominance. I will be betting on Atl this week though.

I got all those stats from CBS sportsline

Since you dont want anyone to add anyone to your list, I guess your question about how many QBs I would rather have was a rhetorical one?

Good point about Vick being too fragile to play RB, although he would be wearing more pads which would helpo somewhat. The injury prone problem is just one more reason that I wouldnt want him on my team (well, at least not playing QB and planning my entire future around him)

In case youre curious, I came up with 4 more that I would rather have. Thats 4 more '"young" ones that will last 5 years or more.
