Is the job something you are going to like?

$75k might sound like a lot, but the cost of living in SF is pretty freaking high. Check your math.

Aside from that, define "pursuing seriously". There's nothing wrong with having a few conversations and visiting the company and then deciding it's not for you, if that's what happens. You should probably at least do that if you're thinking about it enough to post this.

So what I'm saying is make sure you have the definitive answer to Rhound's question and go from there. ;)

$75k may look like a lot compared to what you're making now, but it's not a lot for the Bay Area. Just to give you an idea, my sister and her family are moving back here from Maine, and they're paying $3k/month to rent a house in Foster City (south of SF). If you're single with roommates it would probably be enough, but definitely check out housing/rental prices before making any commitments.

The weather here is great pretty much year round compared to NY.

And there are several good-sized card rooms on the peninsula and more on the other side of the Bay.

do it. I dont like the city of SF itself much, but you probably will love it if you are used to NY, plus it is in a great locatiion. You have a lot of great country right across the bridge. LA is close by. Beaches. You can have sex in public restrooms if you go that way ;)

Sounds like a good move to me.
