mvpI do think not acknowledging genetics play an important role in intelligence has some bad side effects however.
Just about every really smart guy or gal I know was bored to death in high school, and if we acknowledged some people were born with certain intellectual gifts this might not be the problem.
For some reason it's ok to seperate how athletic a kid is into varsity, junior varsity, and "club sport," but if we gave kids a test and from there decided what high school they went to (say it's 1-10, and all the 10's go to one school, 9's go to another, and so on) everyone would go buckwild.
