ICE rankings week 8

Postby iceman5 » Wed Oct 26, 2005 3:06 pm

1) Indy....

2) Pittsburgh...There was no doubt in my mind that Pitt would beat Cincy. Show me a team that is 28th against the run and I'll show you a team that cant beat the Steelers. This team is close to unstoppable with Roethlisberger at the helm.

3) Denver...yeah, they lost this week, but I dont see anyone who deserves to be ahead of them at this point.

4) Jacksonville

5) Atlanta...here is what I wrote about them last week..."Why dont they just move Vick to WR or RB and admit that he cant read a defense? Hes probably the fastest guy in the league and I think hes got the strongest arm in the league, but that means nothing if he cant figure out where to throw the ball." Did any of you watch the Monday night game? Vick sucks as a QB. Move him to RB or WR. Let him run back kicks and punts. Use his skills. Jesus christ! The guy cant play QB just because he has a rocket arm. If he hurt his ankle and couldnt run =, would you want him playing QB? I doubt it...so just move him to somewhere where he can run and doesnt have to play QB. Hes not good. The avg QB rating for all QBs is 86. Vicks liftime rating is 75.2. Its 63.0 this year and he has NEVER been over 86 in any year.

6) Philly...ok, you won a tough game...youre back in the rankings

7) Tampa Bay...the defense is smothering

8) Cincy....you beat Chicago, Minn, Houston, Tenn and Cleveland....you have a long way to go to be in the big leagues.

9) Seattle....here is what I wrote last week....."At the end of the Sunday night broadcast, Theissman said "Tell me someone in the NFC playing better than Seattle right now....then one of the other talking heads said "tell me someone in the whole NFL". Get a life. They blew Houston out. Stop the presses!". Still think theyre playing better than anyone Thiesmann?

10) Giants.....sweet comeback against a damned good Denver team.

Can Green Bay be downgraded to the worst team in the league now?

Their entire offensive team is out, except Favre: top two runners, #1 and #3 WRs, 1 lineman hurt, 2 linemen gone in free agency.

I know SF and Houston are awful too. But if someone could say they agree with me that GB is the worst, I can stop watching them the rest of the season. :)

I can't complain about your top 10. I see Kansas City getting close to cracking the top 10 just maybe.

I had KC in the rankings at the beiggning but they let me down. They need a big win over a tough team to get back in.

As big of a Atl fan as I am...I have been saying that about Vick for 2 years now. He would dominate as a Reggie Bush type player.

If they could somehow change football to only 3 quarters, The chargers would have to be #1 on the list. To bad they play all 4 quarters, so the Chargers get to be the best team to not make the playoffs.

SD is without a doubt the best team that wont make the playoffs. Also, Im not comfortable with Jacksonville in the #4 slot. Theyre not the 4th best team in the league, but they have migrated up to that spot by process of other teams losing.

I see them more like 8 or 9 but the rest of their schedule is so incredibly weak that I predict they will be 12-4

They have

Indy
Tennessee...twice
Houston....twice
SF
Cleveland
Arizona
Baltimore
St.Louis

Doesnt get much easier than that. Indy will beat them, but after that their opponents have a combined 12-39 record.

Not a big ball-sports fan, prefer motor-sports, but I just have to say:

I still think the Pats are the best team not included in your top 10! Half those teams have had cupcake schedules (hey its not their fault)...If the Pats were 4-2, I am sure they would be there but then again if the Queen had a dick, she'd be King!

But as a Pats fan, at 3-3, I have to admit they should be satisfied with that slate and I would hate to say it, but yes injuries....but with Tedy B. back and a more realistic schedule, I see them finishing strong, perhaps, 11-5!

and by the way, they are 2-1 vs the top 5 and in total their opponents are 23-16 a clip of 60%.

I agree cardman, if they can keep a few starters on the field, they'll prove themselves again by the end of the year.
