Sorry Golden 1, your boys do have wins over some a couple good football teams in Pittsburg, Seattle, and Cincy. I was in Nor Cal this weekend and got to watch the Jags and Cards and the Jags offense looked really weak without Leftwich. They have a good defense but with their offense pretty much nonexistant after the Leftwich injury, the defense got to spend a lot of time on the field and looked tired at the end.

Its Ok Rhound, I understand, especially with the Niners poor record (though Nolan is getting more out of that group then anyone though possible) its tough for Niner fans right now, so blessed with Walsh - Montana - Craig then Seifort - Young - Watters for that 10-20 year span.

Well as to Jax being rated even #4 even I think that is quite high, though a 7 or 8 is not out of question.

The Niners tried to trade off the pick last year and failed. I think this could be different as Leinart, Bush, maybe Vince Young, the draft should be stronger and hopefully they'll be able to trade it off (if that's their goal)

Vince Young will never play QB in the NFL. If will play some other position, then Im sure he has a future.

They couldn't trade the pick last year because nobody but them wanted a QB. Their second choice for the #1 pick fell all the way to Green Bay. I don't see that happening again. The #1 pick should have some trade value. Whether SF will lock that up, or whether they will stumble by winning a game or two ....

I think Reggie Bush is a good a enough player to take with a top pick as opposed to several later picks. Barlow is alright, but Bush is a player who looks like he can provide immediate improvement in scoring, even behind a mediocre line. But if we can't get him, we'll probably trade out because there are plenty of teams with QB needs and we should be able to pick up position players with later picks. The other thing to consider is cap problems though. We've just signed Alex Smith to a huge contract. Bush's will probably be bigger, wherever he goes. I'm not sure management will be ok with tying up a big chuck of cap space in unproven players.
