One thing that does seperate him though is that he was Managing when he bet on baseball.
I think its one thing for a player (particularly a position player) to bet on baseball, as their impact is somewhat minimal if they do not produce, and the person who is calling the shots to do so. Who knows how many times he hurt his team by making a move based on the outcome he needed for that individual game and not what was best for the season.
