I cant believe some people got so..careless with significant amounts of money. There was time and to get all the money out....what are the estimates of the stuck $$$$ of US customers in neteller?

There was a small window of time, maybe 5 days, when US neteller customers could transfer to un-Americans, then have the un-American transfer to them on stars or wherever. Most people saw this as overly panicked and unnecessary since neteller was advising people to get the neteller ATM card and that they could withdraw that way. A few people got money out. Some people that tried to get money out using the thread at 2+2 got scammed.

So Alex, thats it. With the benefit of hindsight, yes, people could have found a trusted BTPer and got their money out. I'd be a lot richer today if I were able to exercise hindsight like that in my life. The US people that have $$$ies in neteller didn't do anything wrong; they are victims of their own government's puritanical zeal and an inept eWallet.
