Online Poker Secure?

Postby LottaFagina » Thu Sep 29, 2005 6:36 pm

I've searched but can't find any answers to this...

Is the data between my computer and Party Poker (or other skins) secure? Should I refrain from playing online poker while waiting at the airport and using an insecure wireless network? (Obviously when I'm at home I'm on a secure network).

I don't have any equipment to watch the type of traffic, so I'd be grateful for any input you have.

Thanks.

There is also exlicit material at www.pokerstars.com

They DO have encryption between the clients and their servers. Also, the information of your cards goes exclusively to your computer.

I have been thinking about financial security lately.... will start a new post.
