So, you actually told your friends how to get better rather than fleecing them for as much money as long as you could?
That's one way to go I guess.
BTW, although I like TOP, a new player would read that book for about five minutes and drop unconscious from boredom.
Most of your friends, even if they are pretty smart and very good gamers, will not be very good at poker unless they get serious about it...but that isn't the goal of most players anyway.
I would just go start up a home game with your friends and have some fun...maybe you can play different styles at the table with them; and, if any are interested in pursuing why they lost all their money, then move on to the book learning.
