I really don't know what was going through Jerry Yang's mind, but anything's possible. I'm just curious as to whether you actually watched the main event or not. Some of his antics just seemed a little odd, but then again who wouldn't be when you're on the verge of something like that. I just remember at one point I heard him muttering something about God being all powerful of the like just before the dealer put out the flop after one of his crazy calls. Maybe he thought God stacked the deck for him, maybe not. Who knows? I'd be interested in hearing some interviews with him over the next couple of months as well as seeing it again on ESPN.
He seemed like a good enough person to me though and he was donating 10% (over $800K) to charity which I think is great. It's just that these religious phanatics can be very scary people sometimes. More people are slaughtered in the name of someone's God than anything. Having faith is one thing, thinking it makes you invincible is just wrong.
It's kind of makes me laugh too when all of these athletes thank God after a victory or a great performance. Like God wanted you to win and he wanted to shit on the other team.
