But how much knowledge or experience do you have of other countries' medical care?

I retract my statement as I dont have enough knowledge of the medical industry in other major countries to have an educated opinion.

Having said that, heres my experience with doctors in foreign countries.

#1) Ive mentioned before that I rolled a rental car in Germany. My wife (now ex-wfie thank god) and I were taken to a German hospital. I had glass imbedded in my head and she had a small cut on her wrist. The care we got was totally fine but the hospital seemed alot less sanitary than US hospitals.

#2) While playing softball for a travelling Army softball team, I dove for a fly ball and slammed into the ground (which was a corn field being used as a softball field) so hard that it almost knocked me out. I knew right away that I had injured my neck, but continued to play. By the next inning I could not turn my head side to side and had to bat while facing the pitcher (since I couldnt see him if I stood with a normal batting stance). By the time we were driving home after the game I literally could not open my mouth far enough to eat a hamburger.

The next day i went to a Belgian doctor who was on our NATO base. He messed around with my neck and seemed to move a disc by hand. It felt a little better right away and it eventually got better.

Years went by and I went to a chiropractor for an unrelated matter and when they took xrays of my spine it was revealed that I had a hairline fracture of my neck that had healed. It wouldve been nice if the Belgian doctor had taken an xray dont you think?

Ive never met anyone who makes more statements for the sole purpose of "winding everybody up" as you do.

Edit: I picked a couple slivers of glass out of my head a full 2 months after the accident while washing my hair. Maybe an American doctor wouldve gotten it all. maybe he wouldnt have.

Also, I got all of that glass in my head because Germany doesnt ( at least then) require safety glass in the cars like the US does. Bonus points for the US.
