I also HATE this monopolistic rule of having each ipod tied to a specific PC. I have my songs spread out bw 2 pcs and it makes it a bitch to use the Pod. I finally just had to break down and consolidate all my songs onto 1 pc. Is there a way around this?

fuggin apple.

that is what caused all of my problems

idiot that I am, I didn't realize it would be an issue

my work PC has 90% of my music but I set it up on my home PC and not I am paying for it

of course all the new music I paid for is at home, so I guess I am going to have to consolodate

my biggest gripe is you can't just add 12 more songs, you have to re-write the whole damn playlist and re-add all the songs

well I bought the I-pod on Sunday, it is Thursday, I thinik I figured it out

that is only a learning curve of 4 days.

this thing comes with shit instructions and all help is web based, yeah

I think I-tunes works ok if you know what you are doing, but getting there is sort of a pain in the ass

In the settings in ITunes, you can change it so that it doesn't automatically update every time you add a song to your library... That way, you can have different songs in the library than you do on your existing IPod... It also allows you to plug your IPod into different computers with no problem, since it doesn't automatically read and copy the library of that computer anymore... When you change it to manually update, it'll give you some stupid warning, which basically means that you can't use the "update Allstars Ipod" anymore, and have to use the "safely remove usb device" option in the computer to remove the Ipod...

Not sure if any of that made any sense...
