In the settings in ITunes, you can change it so that it doesn't automatically update every time you add a song to your library... That way, you can have different songs in the library than you do on your existing IPod... It also allows you to plug your IPod into different computers with no problem, since it doesn't automatically read and copy the library of that computer anymore... When you change it to manually update, it'll give you some stupid warning, which basically means that you can't use the "update Allstars Ipod" anymore, and have to use the "safely remove usb device" option in the computer to remove the Ipod...
Not sure if any of that made any sense...
