What I wanna know is, does BTP get some sort of commission from sale of said item to help with the expense of this site?

Good question as that is the normal policy. Let me explain what happened.

I was sitting on my couch watching TV and was 1/2 asleep. The phone rings, wife answers and gives me the phone. Its Texas Grinder. He tells me hes won a couple of these lammers. He tells me about the tournament. He asks me what the web address for BTP is. Hes been here a few times but forgot the adress. I told him the address.

He tells me hes going to sell the lammer for $1700. I dont play tournies hardly ever and certainly not ones that expensive so I wasnt interested and again I was half asleep.

So, while its obvious to anyone with a brain (or who isnt half asleep) what his intention was, he never actually asked me if he could sell the thing here and I never told him our rules because I didnt really even think about it.

So if he sells it, I'll leave it up to him if he wants to give BTP a small kickback.
