WSOP $1500 Stud Hi/Lo and HORSE...should I?

I've only played these games at low limits online and low buy-in tourneys where the players are very bad so it almost looks like I know what I'm doing but I really don't. If I were to satellite in...should I try them or just save my lammers for a $1500 NLHE tourney? I'll probably play the NLHE tourneys either way but the STTs have always been extremely soft and satelliting into events is usually pretty easy.
