On my keyboard, the following work:

♥(Alt 3)
♣(Alt 5)
♠(Alt 6)
£ (Alt 156)
¥ (Alt 157) (in case you find a hot new Japanese site with a great bonus)

Can anyone figure out the Diamond or the Euro symbol shortcut?

I can generate a € by the following method:

1) Turn Num Lock off
2) Hold down ALT
3) Type 0128 on the numeric keypad
4) Release ALT

Strangely if I omit the '0' preceding the '128' I get 'Ç'...

The pound sign £ code is 0163 for me (refer to Kuso's character map link), or indeed just 156 (no '0') as mentioned by emmasdad.
