Twelver, what she said to you and how she's behaving show a real lack of maturity. Yes, arguments happen, even in the best of families. Sometimes they can get heated and words exchanged that are regretted. But there is a mindset here at work that is disturbing.

I'm not quite as pessimistic as iceman, but I can sure see where he could be. I've been there, too. A couple of times, myself. Some women grow out of it and some never do. I hope yours is the one that does.

My grandfathers would have knocked their wives on their ass for a remark like that, if my grandmothers would have dared saying it. My grandmothers might have even felt they deserved getting knocked on their ass for belittling their husbands. We live in different times and I'm not so sure you could say better times. There is such a lack of respect now. Saying someone should "be a man" and do housework seems very, very weird.

If she didn't apologize, if she thinks she was right or still is right, then you got problems that will not be solved by you backing down and trying to make it right. Supporting goes both ways.

Be glad your opponents refuse to fold; if they didn't, you just might go broke.
