Mom would be disapointed, well maybe but not surprised.

A suggestion for you on playing these weak trips. I like to bet them strong. This has worked very well for me in live games with bad players. Everyone expects you to slow play, so by making a strong bet when you hit these a lot of people misread your hand, or overthink. I have won a bunch of pots because someone put me on a draw or two pair. I dont know if this will work with the $25 players. Maybe they arent sophisticated enough to make this play on, but it has worked for me.

From now on I am going to divide up my session report for ease of reading / writing / ...

Overall
--------
Didn't get all that many hands and only made 1 really bad play all session. My big PP are still overpreforming and my small PP are still underpreforming. I have made more money with my big PP making a set then I have with my small PP making sets.

The Good
-----------
Stacked someone with KK vs AJ. Flop J23. I pot he calls. Turn I bet 1/2 his stack he calls. River K. I say damn and my gf who was watching asked why I was upset. I told her that he is playing AJ and he may no longer call all in. He did call my all in and I took his stack. However what made me really happy was how easily I read him

The Bad
----------
- I need to stop getting into battles of the blinds. At these tables people will not fold anything when it a battle of the blinds so I can't get a read on anyone. I think that from now on I am just not going to get involved.

- I am getting a little bit of FPS. I am going to have to nip that in the butt before it gets out of hand. There really is no reason to do anything fancy at the $25 tables. Just wait for big pair and rake in the chips.

I was thinking about my last session a little more and there are two hands that I wanted opinions on. I think that I played both of them correctly but I am not sure.

Hand 1:

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ Hero (10 handed)

MP2 ($26.15)
MP3 ($31.15)
CO ($25)
Button ($26.85)
SB ($23.20)
Hero ($32.55)
UTG ($24.15)
UTG+1 ($65.75)
UTG+2 ($61.60)
MP1 ($22.30)

Preflop: Hero is BB with [Kd], [8d]. CO posts a blind of $0.25. SB posts a blind of $0.10.
UTG calls $0.25, UTG+1 calls $0.25, 1 fold, MP1 calls $0.25, 2 folds, CO (poster) checks, Button calls $0.25, 1 fold, Hero checks.

Flop: ($1.60) [Td], [Jc], [3d] (6 players)
Hero bets $1, UTG calls $1, UTG+1 calls $1, MP1 calls $1, CO folds, Button folds.

Turn: ($5.60) [4h] (4 players)
Hero checks, UTG checks, UTG+1 bets $5, MP1 folds, Hero folds, UTG folds.

I though about calling that bet because all my outs plus some implied odds could be +EV. I also though about raising but I don't think this guy would fold. I ended up folding because I am OOP and if calling is +EV I don't think it is by much. Plus I am not sure all my outs are live so I think this is a marginal fold. I have been trying to play low variance so I think folding in marginal situations is the correct play.

Hand 2:
Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (10 handed)

BB ($24.30)
UTG ($55.85)
UTG+1 ($27.98)
Hero ($23.55)
MP1 ($36.45)
MP2 ($4.27)
MP3 ($25)
CO ($32.10)
Button ($11.82)
SB ($3.15)

Preflop: Hero is UTG+2 with [4h], [4s]. MP3 posts a blind of $0.25. SB posts a blind of $0.10.
2 folds, Hero calls $0.25, MP1 calls $0.25, 1 fold, MP3 (poster) checks, 1 fold, Button calls $0.25, SB (poster) completes, BB checks.

Flop: ($1.50) [4d], [8h], [9h] (6 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets $2, MP1 calls $2, MP3 folds, Button folds, SB folds, BB folds.

Turn: ($5.50) [Qh] (2 players)
Hero bets $2, MP1 calls $2.

River: ($9.50) [5c] (2 players)
Hero checks, MP1 bets $3, Hero calls $3.

That turn hit every draw known to man so I threw out a blocking bet hoping to full up on the river. I didn't fill up but I think I have to call that river bet. He only has to be playing 2 pair or TPTK 1:5.

Overall
--------
Still can’t win any money with anything but big pairs. However they are performing so well for me that it doesn’t matter.

Good session. I used good table selection and made a couple of decent laydowns.

The Good
-----------
Stacked someone with AA vs QQ. Another hand that I think I played well. What do you guys think?

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (7 handed)

Button ($20.70)
SB ($38.91)
BB ($23.45)
UTG ($17.10)
MP1 ($23.80)
Hero ($26)
CO ($138.48)

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with [As], [Ad]. SB posts a blind of $0.10.
UTG calls $0.25, 1 fold, Hero raises to $2, 4 folds, UTG calls $1.75.

Flop: ($4.35) [Kd], [Ts], [Jh] (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets $3, UTG calls $3.

Turn: ($10.35) [4h] (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero checks.

River: ($10.35) [7s] (2 players)
UTG bets $6, Hero folds.

Final Pot: $16.35

I bet the pot in case he is willing to fold. Since he didn’t I don’t see any hands except AK that I beat. I contemplated calling that river however it felt like he wanted me to bet the turn and decided that since I didn’t he was going to value bet. I don’t like calling value bets.

The Bad
----------
Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (10 handed)

MP1 ($27.60)
MP2 ($17.49)
MP3 ($29.06)
CO ($38)
Button ($14.22)
SB ($43.65)
BB ($21.30)
UTG ($10.70)
Hero ($47.60)
UTG+2 ($18.57)

Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with [Kh], [Ah]. SB posts a blind of $0.10.
1 fold, Hero calls $0.25, 2 folds, MP2 calls $0.25, MP3 calls $0.25, 1 fold, Button raises to $0.5, 2 folds, Hero calls $0.25, MP2 calls $0.25, MP3 calls $0.25.

Flop: ($2.35) [8c], [2h], [7h] (4 players)
Hero checks, MP2 checks, MP3 checks, Button bets $1, Hero calls $1, MP2 calls $1, MP3 folds.

Turn: ($5.35) [Jh] (3 players)
Hero checks, MP2 checks, Button bets $4, Hero calls $4, MP2 folds.

River: ($13.35) [7c] (2 players)
Hero bets $9, Button folds.

Final Pot: $22.35

I though about CR the flop with the nut flush draw and 2 overs but the bettor was a calling station so I don't think I had much fold equity. That flat call, flat call, bet shows too much strength.

The Confusing
-----------------
Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (10 handed)

CO ($28.70)
Button ($28.55)
Hero ($46)
BB ($27)
UTG ($41.38)
UTG+1 ($28.90)
UTG+2 ($30.75)
MP1 ($9.60)
MP2 ($25)
MP3 ($20.05)

Preflop: Hero is SB with [7d], [4s]. Hero posts a blind of $0.10.
3 folds, MP1 calls $0.25, 1 fold, MP3 raises to $2, 3 folds, BB calls $1.75, MP1 folds.

Flop: ($4.35) [8d], [5h], [6h] (2 players)
BB pots, MP3 repots, BB goes all in, MP3 calls.

Turn: ($4.35) [3d] (2 players)

River: ($4.35) [9c] (2 players)

Final Pot: $4.35

Results in white below:
BB has Ad Qs (high card, ace).
MP3 has Ah Js (high card, ace).

Nice plays guys.

Overall
--------
Decent session. Flopped top set and turn quads. Got called down by a guy with 2nd pair and no kicker. Gotta love the $25 tables.

The Good
-----------
Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (9 handed)

BB ($26.20)
UTG ($24.15)
UTG+1 ($11.70)
MP1 ($9.55)
Hero ($45.70)
MP3 ($35.85)
CO ($25)
Button ($19.25)
SB ($23.25)

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with [Jc], [Jh]. SB posts a blind of $0.10.
1 fold, UTG+1 calls $0.25, MP1 calls $0.25, Hero raises to $2, 5 folds, UTG+1 folds, MP1 calls $1.75.

Flop: ($4.60) [2s], [Ac], [9c] (2 players)
MP1 checks, Hero bets $2.5, MP1 calls $7.55 (All-In), Hero folds.

Final Pot: $14.65

I really liked the way that I played this hand. I gave myself all kinds of ways of winning it and didn’t waste very much money to find out that I was behind.

Final Pot:

The Bad
----------
Played AK 4 times
Played AQ 3 times
Played AJ 2 times
And didn’t flop a pair any times. That makes winning with these hands kinda hard.

On a side note I am beginning to worry that I am been running too well. I haven't lost more then 1 buy in for this entire month. I have taken my fair share of suckouts but they have been spaced out. I haven't had that back breaking, - 4 buy in, can't win with the best hand, session.

I know that the fear is not valid but I have the feeling that horrible session is coming. NLHE does hate me after all.

Overall
--------
Flopped Quads with QQ vs KK. I actually wish that I had only flopped a set because i would have stacked him. I raise to $2 he min-raises to $4. I get a sinking feeling and call for set value and flop quads.

The Good
-----------
Hand 1:
Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (9 handed)

MP1 ($25.90)
MP2 ($26.50)
MP3 ($53.35)
CO ($9.65)
Button ($29.18)
Hero ($25.45)
BB ($23.95)
UTG ($20.90)
UTG+1 ($67.70)

Preflop: Hero is SB with [Ah], [Ad]. Hero posts a blind of $0.10.
UTG raises to $0.5, 6 folds, Hero (poster) raises to $1.9, 1 fold, UTG calls $1.50.

Flop: ($4.25) [3s], [Kc], [Qc] (2 players)
Hero bets $4, UTG calls $4.

Turn: ($12.25) [Td] (2 players)
Hero checks, UTG bets $2, Hero calls $2.

River: ($16.25) [Qd] (2 players)
Hero checks, UTG checks.

Final Pot: $16.25

Results in white below:
Hero has Ah Ad (two pair, aces and queens).
UTG has Jh As (straight, ace high).
Outcome: UTG wins $16.25.

Obviously I hate that turn / river card. Once that turn hit I was prepared to fold to any large bet. Bad suck up but I think I did a good job of limiting the damage.

Hand 2:

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ Hero (10 handed)

MP2 ($20)
MP3 ($29.25)
CO ($55.28)
Button ($10.50)
SB ($5.75)
Hero ($23.90)
UTG ($29.60)
UTG+1 ($25.15)
UTG+2 ($24.72)
MP1 ($68.60)

Preflop: Hero is BB with [9d], [9h]. SB posts a blind of $0.10.
2 folds, UTG+2 raises to $0.5, MP1 calls $0.50, 2 folds, CO calls $0.50, 2 folds, Hero calls $0.25.

Flop: ($2.10) [7d], [2h], [3h] (4 players)
Hero checks, UTG+2 checks, MP1 checks, CO bets $0.75, Hero raises to $3, UTG+2 folds, MP1 folds, CO calls $2.25.

Turn: ($8.10) [6c] (2 players)
Hero checks, CO bets $2, Hero calls $2.

River: ($12.10) [As] (2 players)
Hero checks, CO checks.

Final Pot: $12.10

Results in white below:
Hero has 9d 9h (one pair, nines).
CO has 5s 5h (one pair, fives).
Outcome: Hero wins $12.10.

I usually don't make play like this but I had a good read on this guy and he was very passive. I though that I had the best hand (which I did) and I knew that I could get to showdown cheaply. Against a more agressive player I don't do this but I was happy that I could the read that 1) I was ahead 2) I could find out cheaply.

The Bad
----------
11 Small PP and no set
5 AK and no flopped pair
2 AQ and no flopped pair
5 AJ and no flopped pair
