I put the withdrawal on hold before going to bed last night to see if I would wake up with a clearer mind. It's really not. The problem is, I used to be a gambler, but I'm not anymore. I don't bother unless I know I have an edge, I don't chase losses anymore, I generally don't do stupid things anymore either. But that is exactly what this is turning into...A gambling addiction because it keeps going south and I'm not winning. What edge do I have? I've played 6 good hours of poker this year where I was lucky enough not to lose any hands that I was ahead. That's it. These are the numbers since my withdrawal on 3/7......

NL 50
3,276 hands -$182 -11.11 BB/100
(Previous 10,109 hand +$281.95 +5.58 BB/100

MTT = 26
17 $26, 1 $75, 1 $15, 4 $11, 1 $6.60, 1 $3.30 rebuy
-$370 -60.25% ROI
(Previous 414 MTT +118.40 ROI

I don't believe that games are rigged per se vs certain players for no reason. That would be stupid. However, I do believe that in cash games, there are action cards to generate rake. I have the following theory in tournaments, they want to knock people out quickly so they will go play another tournament. People get lucky with stupid moves so they'll continue playing. The winning players will eventually win enough anyway just to keep playing. And then just forget about after you withdraw from a site. Is it just a conicidence that the 3 worst stretches/months of my career (not including when I first started and legitimately sucked) occured right after my 1st withdrawal from sites?

yes it is. Those stretches you are mentioning are simply meningless. If it is bothering you as much as it bothers me, stop playing. My point is that for me, poker is a job. If you see you are not going up in a job and you have the slightest bit of ambition in you, you need to quit and look for better things. That is what is happening to me. I dont say I wont ever play again, because as minimal as it might be TO ME, I do have an edge in the NL$100 and smaller games. It is just, well, minimal, and I cant stand the swings nor it is doing me any good when i hit the EXPECTED downswings of a 1-2ptbb/100 longterm winner. I dedicated oo much time and sadly my roof wasnot very high. I did give it a try and honestly I cant complain because i have been making some decent money, but, as said, i feel it's time to move on.

For you, on the other hand, i dont see why it has to be so frustrating because you are not a pro and you have a bankroll, so the extra money of grinding a bit can be good if yu dont need it to cover bills, and who knows, maybe you get better or "luckier" and the money start flowing in considerable amounts.

You know how you feel about the game and you should make your decision based on that, but I have been playing your stakes for too long and I know that anyone who has been around here for a few weeks and read a few good books NECESSARiLY has an edge on those games, that can be really really soft.

Anyways, gl man.

Another Pile Of Stinking Steaming Bullshit

I admit it. I lied when I said I'm not stupid. I am stupid and I'm addicted to poker. If I am actually playing with an edge, I need someone to tell me how I'm supposed to beat 2 outters on a consistant basis and come out a winner. Should I be happy I only dropped about 2 stacks?

201 hands -$94.60 -94.13 bb/100
Just 200 hands on 2 tables, not 1K hands while 6 tabling

Every hand where I PFR'ed and saw a flop. (4 out of 5 my opponent out flopped me)
1 - [Jd][Js] MP1 - I got raised off the flop, lose $5.50
http://www.pokerhand.org/?982621
2 - [Qh][Qd] OTB - same guy, Ace on flop, he calls and pushes turn. -$15.50
http://www.pokerhand.org/?982627 (He finished with 59% VP$IP +$29)
3 - [Ks][Jc] OTB - Ace on flop, opponent pushed turn
http://www.pokerhand.org/?982650 (This opponent finished 51% VP$IP and up $6)
4 - PFR [Ad][7d] OTB - took it with a c-bet +$2.75
5 - [Ah] MP - had a ton of outs after the turn, but a pair of 7's is good. -$10.50
http://www.pokerhand.org/?982665

This is every non-PFR hand that I lost more than $5 with
1 - [Tc][8s] BB vs same guy that was shoving me around with QQ/JJ. This was a few hands after the QQ hand. He hit every hand against me apparently. -$9
http://www.pokerhand.org/?982632
2 - [As][Jc] SB - flop 2 pair, but never dreamed I was ahead. ONLY lost -$5.80
http://www.pokerhand.org/?982638
3 - [Th][7c] BB vs another player 50%+ VP$IP UTG with 96o. Called me down with GSSD. I knew he was drawing. He hit. -$5
http://www.pokerhand.org/?982662
4 - [As][Ks] MP - I know I probably shoulda re-raised, but how did he know to push the turn? -$5 (Possibly my only tilt call on the flop)
http://www.pokerhand.org/?982669
5 - [4d][4s] EP. PURE BULL SHIT AGAIN AGAIN AGAIN -$40.70 on my flopped set.
http://www.pokerhand.org/?982672

Every single hand where I won more than $5 (10 BB)
1 - [Ts][9h] SB - flop 2 pair, scary board, win $9.05
http://www.pokerhand.org/?982624

YEP. That's it! One hand!

And here's another odd little "coincidence".......
The first time my blinds lined up on both tables I was dealt...
[9c][9h] on one table
and on the other table [9c][9h]
There was a club flush and a 4 card straight on the board both times

Ok, next hand. SB on both tables.
[Th][8h] and........[Th][8d] - only 1 hand went to a flop

The very next time my BB's lined up.
[7c] and........[7c] - only 1 went to flop. see above where I lost to 96o and the GSSD call down.

Ok. So how do I use my superior edge and win now?
