He called me stupid among other things for not auto-folding and believing he had flopped a set here. Is this call really that bad? I took almost all my time and do fold this a lot of the time, but I just didn't entirely believe him here. Also, I would have folded, had he had the balls to send it in at any time after I called the raise.

You could have a point there. Maybe I have been watching too many higher stakes videos. Also, I sometimes give opponents credit for being capable of things just because I'm capable of them too.
