What aims do you want to achieve with the preflop raise? The pot will be hu already if you call. I am not saying this move is totally wrong but before you raise you need a plan how all different kind of flops should be played against this special opponent (which hands will he fold to aggression, is he betting out with strong hands or going for a check-raise, does he know how to play with 1/2 stack...). My preferred line would be a call preflop.

As you included the results I guess villain is not a nit who will fold to aggression frequently. Therefore you should just take the free card. After all you have only top pair and the nut flush draw on a draw heavy 2 low card board. This is especially important because after betting out and getting check-raised you are probably pot committed and have to call his all-in. But maybe I am a little bit biased by the result.

imo your play was correct postflop. preflop i agree that call was better than raise (unless you were isolating ... in which case preflop play was also correct.)
