This is a basic 'should I call with this hand pf?' post. Does anyone like a 3bet with it?

Another Q - what sort of hands are people calling with out of the SB/BB to a CO/BTN open raise? Assuming we're up against a typical bad 1/2 player.
Poker is silly.

It is not enough to be good at chess, you must also play well.

Somewhere in the world someone is training when you are not. When you race him, he will win.

the call is marginal, imo. i like it more if i think bb will fold often. i like it less if he's calling with a wide range due to "good odds". the key, of course, is playing well post-flop.

as played, i like your post-flop play.

re your calling range Q, are you talking about people being "us" or people being your typical 200 player? assuming you mean us...

- if pfr is a nlhe-type of player, then i call with a wider range. i would want medium or high pairs and/or running types of hands (gaps ok) since i will be more likely to outplay villain if i hit a good flop.

- if pfr is a plo player (esp. if tight), then i only like to play with more premium hands (good running hands and big pairs with help).

fwiw, i don't have a well-defined range here at these stakes since i don't play them in plo. i'm kind of transferring some plo8 concepts to plo with regards to what i think would work at the 200+ level.
wwcrd?
