i agree, pot the flop and then try and hit after getting called on that dangerous board.

i agree with trying to hit. it's not as dangerous as it seems though. most often you'll just see fold/fold. (precisely why you want to pot, rather than give a reason to call) ... in your back pocket you've got the nut flush draw and a runner-runner boat draw. you're in okay shape even if a made straight was trapping.
