i raise preflop. I don't make strange $20 bets into $70 pots in multiway fields however.
on turn you've left yourself in a tough spot -- not really enough implied odds to call much, not enough left for you to bluff or be able to get read on his play since stacks so short. doesn't matter a ton ev-wise what u do i think
river i call.

I raise this pre-flop from your position a very healthy percentage (at least more than half) of the time, but probably not every time. I do not necessarily POT-raise pre-flop with this hand. I like to vary my raising hands and amounts in early position. As position gets later I am much more likely to pot-raise (and have much more varied holdings).

Rhound - I got 2 outted in a $2000 pot last year, I have also broke a cup in half playing catcher. The feelings were similar.

Dave,

Preflop is ultra standard.

The flop confuses me. What does $20 accomplish? You call it a cbet but the purpose of cbets is generally fold equity when you miss.

I wouldn't pot the flop, but why not just c/c? Or if it's extreme action when it returns, you can sometimes find a fold.

The turn is pretty close. I think it leans towards a fold because the only reasonable "draw" you have for high is a gutshot 3... two pair with a 5 might be good but i doubt it. and trips of course.

Since you don't have low locked up, I think it's a marginal call, especially if someone was planning to cr right behind you. So I think I find a fold on this turn, but it's close.

The river is way correct given his shortstack -- he'll easily call off with worse hands. If it was a big stack it's so much tougher. What do you think the river play is if at least one of the stacks is big?
