Opponent liked to sponge but usually folded to a second bullet. This time the second bullet is going to have to be large though.

Hmmm weird hand. Tough spot. I like the way you played it, except I'd probably just 1/2 pot the turn but either way is fine. On the turn you're either way ahead or way behind. I'm reluctant to give him credit for a jack or a nine, but I can't think of any 2nd best hands that call a full pot sized bet except maybe KKxx or some huge straight-flush wrap draw.

There's no way he's folding a better hand than yours on the river, so "firing a second bullet" isn't going to accomplish anything. If you bet, I would consider it some mixture between a value bet and a blocking bet. I'd prefer to check the river. If he bets, I'd have to think long and hard and decide if I had just induced a bluff or he's betting with the goods. Given the fact that he called a full pot bet on the turn, most of the time I'm probably folding to his bet unless I had a good read otherwise.
