Dynamics of sports books and poker

Postby Kuso » Thu Feb 07, 2008 10:16 am

i was just wondering if anyone could explain what dynamics they have noticed at the poker rooms that also have sports books (e.g., cake/po, bodog, etc.). that is, how do sporting events and the results thereof influence the games? when are the games "better"? when are there more games?

for example, i have noticed during the fall and early winter that (as a general rule) cake plo8 games were slower on wednesday than pretty much any other day of the week. maybe because the winners from the previous week had burned through their money and the weekend warriors hadn't reloaded yet? maybe because there were wednesday basketball games (don't know, personally)?

also what games tend to be most influenced by sportsbooks? maybe mtts? sngs?

any and all thoughts are appreciated.
