Excellent post Cactus Jack - I was looking for some advice on heads up play as there doesn't seem to be enough in HOH, this was exactly what i needed! Just took down 2 1sts in a row on Party! Probably mostly coincidence but i know it helped.
Thanks

Glad it helped.

To be honest, HU comes down often to who's luckier. :) But, 2 firsts when you've been struggling sure helps the confidence.

I have not read the original post. But the way i play headsup can be summed up with one word; Aggressive. I'm not looking to outplay anyone, particularly if i have a bigstack vs. small/medium stack situation. Im Pushing the Top 30-50% hands (or more depending on how much i outstack him by). be relentless take your stack and stuff it down his throat! never fold to anything less than a push AI and even then you may call depending on stack size, pot odds and cards you're holding.

thnwkd - your strategy is good if the blinds are huge compared to stack size, if they're small though (say 200/400 blinds with 10k stacks) you have to do a lot more actual playing and less pushbotting, imo.
