Donkalicious to the tenth power.

Let's say that your steal attempt was not donkalicious and go from there. Your CB looks weak. Putting villain on a hand...villain calling here is likely a mid PP or a big ace. You *might* get a hand like 99 to fold with your CB, but then it should look like you are protecting from the fllush draw so to look legit you should bet 900 or even more. 600 looks scared. On the turn the check-call is terrible. If you were going to call you should have just pushed, atleast you have a chance at winning without showdown that way (representing a big ace or a flush), which is definately what you want with a pair of 3s. Furthermore, you are barely getting odds to call, even if he has no diamond. If he has a made flush or a diamond you are in a world o' hurt. Save the chips and regroup, you are still in good shape if you fold.

IMO once you are called preflop, you should probably shut down or go for a delayed CB on the turn if villain checks behind on the flop and another low card hits. Save your chips for a better spot. Or better yet, don't steal with total junk, or if you must, atleast be in better position when you do it.

ok... i'm going to play a bit of devil's advocate now that i've had my fun.

pf... the pfr is fine if you can play that style well post flop (jury's still out on that one).

flop... CB not smart with the ace down. it might be ok to rep the A in a cash game when you can rebuy, but in an SnG (in which survival has value) making this relatively large bet on a bluff when villain likely has an A is not the wisest move. if you're going to make the move, you need to bet more (almost putting villain in).

turn... given the action on the prior streets, you actually may have the odds to call IF you assume that diamonds are clean AND the flush isn't out. in this case, you were safe, but.... anyway, if you're going to call a bet, then you should just push here, imo. at least you'll get some theoretical fold equity.
