5-10 limit

Postby slaz13 » Sat Feb 26, 2005 3:33 pm

Hey, What type of bankroll is necessary to play 5-10 limit hold'em. There is a casino with a small cardroom nearby, and this is often the smallest game that they deal. I have heard from several people that the game is fairly soft, so I am thinking about attacking it, but want to make sure I have the proper bankroll first.

The standard is 300 BB so that would be $3000. I always prefer to overkill on bankroll rather than being too low but its all up to you. I would start with at least $3000.

I think the bankroll requirements generally suggested assume your roll is unreplaceable. If you can afford to lose a few hundered bucks playing a live 5/10 game go for it.

Right. I would not consider this role unreplaceable. I expect to get about $1500 back from income tax, and was think of using all or part of this to try out the 5-10 game. If I lose it, it is no big deal.
