I'd like to jump in and reiterate what everyone else has already said, it's funny when you ask a lot of pro poker players what the most important facet of becoming a pro is and it's not whether or not you can crush a game or if you've had a certain hourly rate over the past x hundred hours, nor is it your ability to focus for long enough or is it your ability to multitable, chase bonuses or pick juicy games [though ALL of these ARE important..] but what it is is bankroll management.. that doesn't only include playing the limits your BR limits you to be playing, but things like taking out loans to cover expenses while you have perfectly available funds in your poker accounts - that isn't generally a good sign..

That being said, good luck to you and I hope you DO make it where you want to be, just know that it's not easy but when done properly there are a lot of benifits :)

April overall has been an excellent month, quite possibly the best ever as the month's profits are over $250. I will save the details of the month's adventures for my end of month report I will post tomorrow evening.

After several people on several different forums have expressed the opinion that I should multitable my limit games I decided to give it some long hard thought. The thing is, I have been thinking the same thing for quite some time, but as many of you know my multitable experiences have not been all that profitable.I can 8 table, have done so before without any loss of efficiency or without the fear of making poor plays. The ability is not in question, simply the results from doing so. But at the same time I see multitabling as an opportunity to be playing 2000-3000 hands per week or more. As I said I thought long and hard and came up with a few conclusions.

I really don't follow this - if you can 8-table 'without loss of efficiency' then you make 8x the profit from play and 8x the bonus/RB - why would 'the results be in question'? It's a no brainer.

And with the greatest of respect anyone who is making $250 in his best month from poker doesn't yet know if they are going to be able to beat limits which will enable them to become a pro.

It's fine to have a goal; it's good to pursue that goal provided you have support from those that are important to you; but a big part of being a winning poker player is letting go of your ego at the table - you need to build a roll slowly and get better (slowly) - once you hit about $3000 roll you can safely play levels at which (including bonsues and RB) you can be pretty certain of making $30/hr plus if you are a winning 3-4 tabling player.
