Another hand that I played yesterday early on in the session. To give you an idea about the guy that guy I am playing in my hand I am posting another hand he was involved in first. I really thought about mucking because I just hate putting all my money in the middle without AA preflop. I thought about it and called as I really couldn't put him on AA or KK here particularly after several people had called my early raise probably accounting for a couple of aces and kings.

If you really can't put him on aces or kings (which if he's willing to be that aggressive with A7s in the other hand - that seems possible) - then the only thing you can really put him on is AK, or possibly something worse. Assuming AK is the only possibility, you are getting the right odds to call here (you should win 57% of the time). The variance in this kind of situation will be large (and you just got hit by it here...), but you will be making a profit from it over the long run (assuming the guy lets you play long term - and doesn't run out of money himself

In any case, if I had the knowledge of the other hand, yes I'd call. If I didn't - it would depend a lot on what I did know. Also, with the players left to act behind you - this could also be another problem (though you are right that it probably takes away some of his outs...)

It seems calling this guy and his all in would be correct if you can't put him on AA or KK. In my opinion though, why risk a buy-in against this clown when you can easily find a spot later on against him where you could be a huge favorite or even have him drawing dead and raising into you. It seems he is willing to take huge risks for all of his money, but in a cash game, you have the opportunity to wait for him to make a risky play when you have him drawing to 3 outs or less. This guy seems willing to gamble it all away, but he is just building a stack to give to someone later if he wins your money now.

I fold in this spot. Now, I hate folding in this spot, but I can be patient and wait for a spot where this guy will hand out his stack to you. And put him on the buddy list...he is someone you want to play over and over again.
