multitabling confusion leads to disaster...

Postby MVPSPORTS » Mon Mar 21, 2005 12:58 am

Is there some trick to multi tabling??? Dammit!!!! I just bet $20 w/ 68o and folded KK  :x :x ... I read about Kenny 4 tabling and all you other guys, but it seems like half the times I want to make a move, another table pops up right as I push the raise button...
What am I doing wrong...

p.s. In case anyone was curious, the flop on the KK fold was Q72, some jackball went allin w/ his AQ and got called by someone w/ JJ... bye bye $300 pot.. :x

Sounds like you don't have enough room on your screen. I could never multitable without having enough room for all the tables next to eachother.

I use a 19" monitor with 1600x1200 resolution when I multitable. Then I can comfortably fit 3-4 tables, which is enough for me.

Ahh... didn't think of that... brilliant soul... Ill try it now... Doesn't 1600x1200 make the cards like a micrometer tall?

Man!!! You guys have freakin eagle eyes... I have a 20" LCD, but don't think it can go that small in resolution... I think 1280 x 1040 or something is as good as it gets... And even then its tiny... Also, excuse my ignorance, but what is mini view? I'm pretty new to GC, but can't figure out how to Mini...

Also, GC gives very little think time compared to other sites. You might feel rushed doing so many tables on GC that would be easy to do on other sites like Party.

Mini view is under, I think, "table options." At the bottom of the main screen, it says something like "Bank" "Help" and "Options" Click on options, then table view, then mini-view. (If that's not exactly right, keep looking -- it's pretty easy to find.) You only have to do it once, it remembers your mini-view preference and will keep you on mini-view forever until you change back.

Takes a while to get used to, but not that long. And 4 tables do, as Jeff says, fit on a screen with 768 x 1024 resolution. Barely. My monitor is also old, lousy, 17 inches, and maxes out at 768 x 1024. But it's good enough!

The mini view is setting is located in the "Table options" section when you access the "Menu" button.

It's not TOO short, but I think it's a little less than others... I think on UB, you get like 30 seconds... On GC it seems more like 20...
