This is a good example of why is a good idea alot of the time to lead into the raiser with a set. The 1st reason is that theres a guy between me and the raiser. If we both check to him, hes going to bet, Im going to raise because of the flush draw on the board and now the middle guy will fold. (Well this moron might not but most will).

But since I led out, the middle guy had to decide what to do before seeing what the raiser is going to do. Even if he didnt raise all in, he mightve called and then when the preflop raiser raises, he loses his dead money.

Also, when you raise with AA, a caller leads into you and another caller raises all in.....this is a good sign to get the heck out of there. Your Aces are no good, 90% of the time.

Very nice! I played a pot just like this today, called a raise with 1010, saw a 10 high flop all diamonds, I bet out 2/3 the pot and KK (with K diamonds) raised, i pushed in and filled up on the turn for a nice double up. Nice trapping that guy in the middle drawing dead.

Are there any times when you dont lead at the pot in this game? A few, but I sure have success leading with my big hands. I did check KJ with a KJJ flop in an unraised pot today, but other than full houses I usually lead.

Couldn't agree more. The value isn't so much in getting all the chips of the guy with aces here... since that might well happen regardless..... but it's in getting guys with TPTK to commit their stacks, when if you check raise they might well fold.

Furthermore, doing that really should open up your ability to open lead and steal pots.
