Working on river aggression

Postby iceman5 » Fri Apr 01, 2005 2:15 pm

Bad timing to work on being more aggressive at the river huh?
How in gods name can that guy be betting that hand like that? I wouldve raised earlier if the BB hadnt been in the hand. He was horrible and was obviously chasing something. You normally dont have to worry about protecting your hand with quads. UGH!!!

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (9 handed)

Hero ($1198)
CO ($223.4)
Button ($431)
SB ($413.3)
BB ($185.65)
UTG ($483.6)
UTG+1 ($205.4)
MP1 ($424.15)
MP2 ($309)

Preflop: Hero is MP3 with [6d], [6c]. SB posts a blind of $2.
UTG calls $4, 1 fold, MP1 calls $4, MP2 calls $4, Hero calls $4, CO calls $4, 1 fold, SB (poster) completes, BB checks.

Flop: ($28) [6h], [7s], [6s] (7 players)
SB checks, BB checks, UTG bets $8, MP1 folds, MP2 folds, Hero calls $8, CO folds, SB folds, BB calls $8.

Turn: ($52) [8s] (3 players)
BB checks, UTG bets $18, Hero calls $18, BB calls $18.

River: ($106) [4s] (3 players)
BB checks, UTG bets $60, Hero calls $1168 (All-In), BB folds, UTG calls $393.60 (All-In).

Final Pot: $1727.60

Results in white below:
UTG has 5s 5c (straight flush, eight high).
Hero has 6d 6c (four of a kind, sixes).
Outcome: UTG wins $1013.20. Hero wins $714.40.

How would it be a joke? Its pasted using the hand convertor.

The irony of this happening to me on April Fools day is not lost, believe me.

Come on iceman how can you slowplay a hand as weak as quads. You have to that there is a backdoor straight flush draw out there.
