FULL RING $1/2

Folded around
CO raises
BTN & SB fold
Hero calls $1 from BB with [As] [9h]

FLOP
[9c] [Ah] [Jc]
Hero check-calls $1

TURN
[Td]
Hero check-calls $2

RIVER
[6s]
Hero check-calls $2

So how should i have played this?

Disclaimer: I have just started to try and play limit and most the time Im pretty clueless as to the proper way to play a hand

A case can be made for a raise pre-flop. I don't hate the call, it really depends on CO's range in open raising from that position. His range should be quite large.

As played, lead flop. If he raises, call that raise and check-raise turn. Then, unless you have a very good reason/read, don't stop betting.

I dont mind the check call on flop. I dont want to annunce my hand yet. check call, check raise, lead river is my line here.

too much risk i lose him leading on flop....seen it happen all time. Steal raise PF from CO....gives up when bet into.

I can't argue with calling the PFor on the fop, but I would have go for the check-raise on the turn.

I don't mind the PF call but I'm CR the flop. I'm happy to take the pot down there. The overcard that fell on the turn is a potential nightmare for me if he's raised PF with a big ace. Not to mention the flush draw. My 2P is too good to toss but this isn't what I'd call a slowplay flop in LHE. Being HU helps but I think applying pressure early and often is the right idea.
I don't want to give anyone nightmares but there is the following cautionary tale that we've all experienced at one time or another:
Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (8 handed) from (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

Preflop: Hero is SB with JImage, QImage.
3 folds, MP2 calls, 2 folds, Hero completes, BB checks.

Flop: (3 SB) AImage, TImage, 6Image (3 players)
Hero checks, BB checks, MP2 checks.

Turn: (1.50 BB) 7Image (3 players)
Hero checks, BB checks, MP2 checks.

River: (1.50 BB) KImage (3 players)
Hero bets, BB folds, MP2 raises, Hero 3-bets, MP2 caps, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 9.50 BB

Results in white below:
MP2 has Ac Ad (three of a kind, aces).
Hero has Jd Qd (straight, ace high).
Outcome: Hero wins 9.50 BB. If he bets anywhere pre river I'm gone of course...not a big pot but at least the chips would have flowed in the right direction for him.
My luck is so bad that if I bought a cemetery, people
would stop dying.

i lead the flop, u'll almost always get him to raise there, and you're at least getting a call, call the raise and check raise the turn
