Norton - did you know that IP has changed to 8x raked hands (so 800 hands) - rather than the original 500?

Finished up the bonus, ended down $14 on my play today, for a total net of -$3. Thank god for the $100 bonus and extra $20 they threw in, leaving me up $117 overall.

PT tells me I'm up $11, but I suspect InterPoker probably has the right number and PT just missed a couple hands or something.

Breaking even kind of sucks, but with some of the beats I took today and yesterday, I'm happy to do even that.

Well it's back to Ed Norton as my avatar, for at least a week, having disgraced myself in the HORSE tourney (not as bad as Starstealer though, lol). I called down a couple hands I shouldn't have in hold 'em, then went card dead, and then lost my stack in razz -- my [A2]8 turned into [A2]85, and then I bricked off 2 more eights and a king.

Then I went off to a $25 NL table, called a preflop raise with 22 in the cutoff, flopped a set on 267. Preflop raiser bets pot ($3), I raise to $11, he calls. Turn 8, I bet my last $15, he calls with 99, and spikes a T for a straight. fuck!!

I didn't really play at all last week -- I gotta get back into the swing of things. Think I'll try to clear Pacific this week.

OK, I've decided that Pacific really just isn't worth it. Playing 1 table of $50NL will clear the bonus somewhere around 2025. When I tried to run UB at the same time, Pacific started timing out and losing its connection. Pathetic.

Kind of a shame, as the people there are ridiculously loose passive.

I left up around $8 after an hour, played another 150 hands or so at $25NL at UB where I was up $11.60. UB could really improve their games by having the default buy-in be the max instead of the min. At one table I doubled up early, and half an hour later I'm sitting there with $40 and everyone else has $12 or less.

I'll work on UB more this weekend, and then hit up Party for their $100.

Also, I think I may be a fool for not laying this one down. Opponent was 22/9 VIP/PFR after 24 hands, PFA of 0. I decided he wouldn't push with a set, but I'm not so sure that's a good rationalization.

Ultimate Bet No-Limit Hold'em, $.25 BB (7 handed)

MP1 ($12.90)
MP2 ($24.05)
Hero ($24.05)
Button ($9.65)
SB ($4.65)
BB ($24.75)
UTG ($40.35)

Preflop: Hero is CO with [Ac], [Ah].
UTG calls $0.25, 2 folds, Hero raises to $0.75, 2 folds, BB calls $0.50, UTG calls $0.50.

Flop: ($2.35) [8d], [2s], [5c] (3 players)
BB checks, UTG checks, Hero bets $2, BB raises to $8.35, UTG folds, Hero calls $6.35.

Turn: ($19.05) [9c] (2 players)
BB bets $15.65 (All-In), Hero calls $14.95 (All-In).

River: ($49.65) [Jc] (2 players, 2 all-in)

Final Pot: $49.65

Results in white below:
Hero has Ac Ah (one pair, aces).
BB has 7c 7d (one pair, sevens).
Outcome: Hero wins $48.95. BB wins $0.69.

Hit up UB's $25NL again to work off some more of the bonus. Played about 300 hands and ended up $15. One of those unremarkable sessions with no big hands and most of your continuation bets fold the field. Worked off about $5 of bonus.

Also played a bit of low limit razz at FTP when the HORSE tourney didn't pan out. Pretty fun -- I may do it again some time. I ended down $1.50. MecosKing also showed up and was up about $5.

Put $500 onto Party for their reload bonus. I played a quick 160 hand session, and what an awesome session it was. One table went nowhere, but I left the other table with a stack of $105. I doubled up my $30 stack with AQ against a LAG, and then busted a $40 stack with set over set. My PTBB rate was just shy of 100. :D

Think I'll play some more later tonight.

Damn I'm an idiot sometimes. This was such an obvious laydown on the flop, but I just didn't want it to lose. "I played this hand like a muppet," as people are always saying.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (9 handed)

UTG+1 ($12.65)
MP1 ($35.2)
MP2 ($32.4)
Hero ($40.95)
CO ($45.35)
Button ($10)
SB ($27.7)
BB ($8.4)
UTG ($25.65)

Preflop: Hero is MP3 with [Ad], [Ac]. SB posts a blind of $0.1.
1 fold, UTG+1 calls $0.25, MP1 calls $0.25, MP2 calls $0.25, Hero raises to $1.5, 4 folds, UTG+1 calls $1.25, MP1 calls $1.25, MP2 calls $1.25.

Flop: ($6.35) [8c], [7s], [7c] (4 players)
UTG+1 checks, MP1 bets $3, MP2 raises to $6, Hero raises to $15, UTG+1 folds, MP1 calls $12, MP2 calls $9.

Turn: ($51.35) [3d] (3 players)
MP1 checks, MP2 bets $15.90 all-in, Hero calls $15.90, MP1 folds.

River: ($82.15) [Th] (2 players)

Final Pot: $82.15
