K3nt, from your posts in the NL forum, I have absolutely no doubt that you should be crushing the 50NL games. Don't think in terms of money, think in terms of BB. If you lose $20, that's 40xBB, which may be a lot when you rarely lose that much at the $10 tables, but also remember that when you are winning you are winning a lot more. In the long run, you need to be able to move up in levels to continue your improvement as a poker player, and it's important to be able to get over that hump and be able to play at the next level. If you have good success at the $10 tables for the next week or so, you should move back up, try to play your normal game, and see what happens. I suspect you will have a lot more sucess next time.

Thanks for the kind words, MG. I'm hoping to live up to them soon.

Last night I finished my run to $50 on the $10 tables, so it's back to the $20 tables tonight.

Ice and excession: your words, too, are very helpful. Because, well, I couldn't reply to your posts as I was too ashamed to admit I hadn't yet paid for PT! Anyway, I finally plunked down the bucks for it last night. I'm hoping to download about three months worth of hands from GC and then get them into PT asap. And then it's time to start playing with it and figure some things out. I love numbers and databases anyway. I'll start out by figuring out my "borderline" and "losing" hands and all that, like excession suggests.

Wow. How can I lose $220 in a week and not realize that it would have been good to pay the $55 for PT long, long, long ago? Sheesh.

No, this is the last few weeks. The losing streak was just like 4 hours long. Also, I'm not positive I got all the #s from the losing streak in there -- some of the days kept refusing to download from GC. Bleah.
