I would bet out on the flop. Any flop that contains both a ten and a jack is highly likely to have hit limpers in one way or another (kq, 98, JT, Q9, etc.). If not, then I would definately make a pot-sized raise to build it.

Ya but the boat didn't really come til the end, and it really didn't matter.

I don't understand the pot sized raise comment. It would of been a check raise, and I was hoping for more callers behind me or a check raiser behind me. There was a lot of limpers left to act.

You dont want to check raise...you want to bet the flop and hope to get raised

I agree...that JT on the flop makes it prime for a lot of straight draws. Bet out on the flop..get them to raise you..then throw that money in there is fast as possible. so you don't lose you stack to some crap draw that got in cheaply.

If i were your opponent...I might have bet with 89 there and outdrawn you on the turn (even though you did hit the boat on the river of course.)

Not only that..the way you played your hand..it was obvious you held a set. You would get no more action from me on the turn unless I held a monster hand or monster draw.

As for losing to a higher boat...well...that happens from time to time and usually there isn't much you can do except lose a lot of money.
